How To Apply Press-Ons

  • Push back your cuticles (for cleaner application remove excess skin)
  • Cleanse the nail with an alcohol prep pad to ensure there are no oils or dirt on your hands.
  • Buff surface of the nail. Make sure to buff the sides. A rough surface makes the nails last longer.
  • Use glue (or adhesive tabs) to apply press-ons.
  • *Gently push the nail right under the cuticle line and apply at a downward angle
  • Apply 10 seconds of pressure to the center of the nail. Be sure to pinch both sides to solidify the adhesive or glue.

How to Take care of your Nails between Press-Ons

  • Go polish and press-on free for a few days. Your nails can heal themselves if they get damaged, but it will take a few days. To give them time to heal, do not apply any nail polish or other press-on nails for at least a few days.
  • Using a few drops of cuticle oil to give your nails a natural shine while you let them heal.
  • Cut your nails short to prevent breakage.
  • You can also use a nail file to smooth out jagged edges if your nails are already short.
  • Buff your nails to even out rough spots. Press-on nails can pull of pieces of your nails and leave them looking rough and jagged. You can repair some of this damage by gently buffing your nails.
  • Apply a top coat before you use press on nails again. Protect your nails before your next press on application by applying a couple of layers of a clear top coat.

How to Remove Press-Ons

  • Apply cuticle oil to the cuticle area and let it soak for 2 minutes.
  • Soak your nails in warm soapy water for about 10 minutes. Try to rock the nails back and forth slightly while they are soaking.
  • Use a cuticle pusher to carefully loosen the side walls of the nail and get underneath to slowly work it off. If it’s still too hard too remove apply more cuticle oil and soak a little longer.
  • This method will keep your nails healthy and will not damage the press on nails so you are able to reuse them.
